This position combines clinical leadership, staff support, quality oversight, regulatory compliance, and direct patient care when needed. We are looking for a nurse leader who understands hospice philosophy, supports the clinical team, communicates effectively, and is committed to providing exceptional end-of-life care to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Nursing with oversight of hospice clinical operations.

Provide leadership, guidance, and clinical support to RNs, LPNs/LVNs, hospice aides, and other clinical team members.

Assist with coordinating patient care and ensuring appropriate staffing and visit coverage.

Review clinical documentation for completeness, accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Participate in Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings and assist with ensuring plans of care are current and individualized.

Assist with admissions, recertifications, routine visits, PRN visits, and other patient-care needs when necessary.

Monitor changes in patient condition and support staff with symptom-management and end-of-life care needs.

Assist with hospice eligibility and continued eligibility review in collaboration with the clinical team and hospice physicians.

Assist with orientation, education, competencies and ongoing training of clinical staff.

Participate in quality assurance/performance improvement activities.

Assist with infection control, incident review, complaints, clinical audits, and correctiveaction follow-up.

Support regulatory and accreditation readiness.

Promote timely communication among patients, families, facilities, physicians, pharmacies, DME providers, and hospice team members.

Assist with after-hours clinical needs and on-call coverage as assigned.

Assume clinical leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Nursing when designated.

Promote a positive, accountable, supportive team culture focused on excellent patient care.

Qualifications

Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oklahoma.

Minimum of two years of nursing experience preferred.

Hospice, home health, palliative care, long-term care, or other post-acute experience strongly preferred.

Previous supervisory or clinical leadership experience preferred.

Knowledge of hospice philosophy, symptom management, and end-of-life care.

Familiarity with Medicare hospice regulations and accreditation standards preferred.

Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills.

Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and provide clinical support to field staff.

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the service area.

Ability to participate in clinical/on-call coverage as required.

The Ideal Candidate

Our ideal ADON is a hands-on clinical leader who is willing to support the team wherever needed. This individual should be comfortable mentoring nurses, reviewing documentation, communicating with physicians, solving clinical problems, and stepping into patient care when circumstances require it.

We value leaders who are approachable, accountable, compassionate, and committed to supporting both our patients and our hospice team.
