Our Hospice Nursing Aides may assist patients' family members in caring for their terminally ill relatives by instructing them on how to go about performing basic health-care routines. Nursing Aides consult on a regular basis with their supervising registered nurses in terms of keeping hospice team members apprised of our patients' progression and the families' needs.QualificationsMust meet one of the following requirements. 1) have a minimum of one year full time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility); 2) have one year experience within the last five years in direct client care in a home health or hospice setting.Must be registered and listed in good standing on the nurse aide registry in the state of employment.Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.Education and experience, preferredMay demonstrate an active willingness to learn the required skills in lieu of existing technology skills.Education and experience, state specificALASKA - Must hold a home health aide certificate ALABAMA - no additional state specified education, experience requirements ARKANSAS - May be a nursing student who has demonstrated competency in proving basic nursing skills with submitted documentation from the director or dean of the school of nursing, in lieu of being a CNA.
