Hospice Medical Director (Physician)

nGlory Hospice is seeking an experienced, compassionate physician to serve as our Hospice Medical Director. This is an opportunity to provide meaningful clinical leadership while helping patients and families receive exceptional comfort-focused care at the end of life.
nResponsibilities
nProvide medical leadership and direction for the hospice program.
nParticipate in hospice eligibility determinations, certifications, and recertifications as required by Medicare.
nCollaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and oversee individualized plans of care.
nProvide clinical guidance regarding symptom management, medications, and changes in patient condition.
nSupport quality, compliance, documentation, and adherence to applicable Medicare and California hospice requirements.
nServe as a trusted clinical resource to hospice staff, patients, and families.
nQualifications
nMD or DO with a current, unrestricted California physician license.
nAt least two years of full-time supervisory or managerial experience within the past five years in hospice, home health, or palliative care, consistent with California hospice Medical Director requirements.
nHospice, palliative care, or home health experience strongly preferred.
nStrong clinical judgment, communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
nCommitment to compassionate, patient-centered end-of-life care.
nMust meet applicable Medicare and California requirements for hospice Medical Director eligibility.
