Job description
Join a top academic health system in Brooklyn as an experienced Palliative Care Physician in a small, growing division. This role supports both inpatient consultative services and outpatient oncology patients, offering a mix of clinical care, teaching, program development, and research within a large teaching hospital environment.
Responsibilities Provide palliative care consults across a 700-bed teaching hospital and an affiliated 130-bed community hospital.
Manage complex symptom control, goals-of-care discussions, end-of-life planning, and family counseling.
Participate in an embedded Supportive Oncology Clinic at the Cancer Center (minimum one day weekly).
Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows.
Deliver lectures and participate in educational initiatives throughout the health system.
Contribute to quality improvement, program development, and growth of palliative care services.
Opportunities to participate in clinical research and academic projects.
Faculty appointment available through a local university.
Requirements MD or DO.
Fellowship training in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
Board Eligible/Board Certified in primary specialty and Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
Active New York medical license and DEA.
ACLS/BLS certification.
Prior experience preferred; candidate should be comfortable practicing independently.
Strong interdisciplinary, communication, and teaching skills.
