Hospice Physician / Medical Director Designee – Per Diem
nWe are seeking a licensed physician (MD/DO) to serve as a Hospice Medical Director Designee and provide physician coverage as needed.
nResponsibilities may include:
nProvide coverage for the Hospice Medical Director when unavailable
nReview and certify hospice eligibility in accordance with Medicare hospice requirements
nParticipate in IDG/IDT meetings as needed
nReview and sign certifications/recertifications and other required physician documentation
nCollaborate with the hospice clinical team regarding patient eligibility, plan of care, and symptom management
nProvide physician orders and clinical guidance as appropriate
nAssist with face-to-face encounters when applicable and within the scope of the arrangement
nMaintain timely and compliant documentation
nQualifications:
nCurrent, unrestricted California MD or DO license
nMedicare-enrolled and in good standing
nExperience with hospice, palliative care, geriatrics, or end-of-life care strongly preferred
nFamiliarity with Medicare hospice Conditions of Participation and eligibility requirements preferred
nReliable and responsive for clinical/documentation needs
nComfortable working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary hospice team
nPosition: Per Diem / Independent Coverage Location: LA & Orange County Compensation: $1,000–$1,500 per month
