nLocation: Franklin Square Hospital at 9000 Franklin Square Dr
nSalary: Per visit
nSchedule: 1-2 weekends a month
nWhat You Need to Know
nAccentCare is seeking a hospice inpatient visit physician to provide comprehensive medical oversight and direct patient care within an inpatient hospice setting. This physician will conduct patient rounds according to the required schedule, coordinate physician coverage, participate in discharge planning, and provide trusted clinical leadership and education to care team members. nIf you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you:
nnnMust be a licensed Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) in the state(s) of practice, with training or experience in caring for chronically or terminally ill patients
n
nnMaintains active, unrestricted medical and DEA licenses in the state of Maryland
n
nnWorking knowledge of hospice and palliative care, including pain and symptom management.
n
nnFamiliarity with hospice regulations and Medicare requirements.
n
nnStrong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
n
nnExcellent communication skills for interaction with patients, families, and providers.
n
nnAbility to manage complex clinical and ethical situations in end-of-life care.
n
nn(Preferred) Hospice or hospice visit experience
n
n nJob Responsibilities:
nnnDevelop and maintain Plan of Care for each patient, including discharge planning discussions with care team, patients, and families
n
nnParticipate in prognosis evaluation and certification/recertification
n
nnSign death certificates as needed
n
nnConduct daily patient rounds and set consistent rounding schedules with interdisciplinary team
n
nnEnsure proper documentation of eligibility for inpatient care
n
nnProvide education and training to interdisciplinary team and new staff
n
nnProvide after-hours call coverage on days with inpatient visits
