Anesthesia Technician (Anesthesia Tech) - Hospital Contract in Seattle, WA

Anesthesia Technician Contract Details
Position: Anesthesia Technician
Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based surgical services and operating room environment
Location: Seattle, Washington 98122
Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,080-$1,160
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 18, 2027
Schedule: Day shifts; primarily five 8-hour shifts from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a possible four 10-hour shift option from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Shift Duration: 8-hour days
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
Weekend Coverage: Possible based on department needs
Call: Not typically required, but may occasionally be needed
Floating: May be required to a nearby affiliated location
Orientation: 40 hours
Anesthesia Technician Job Requirements At least 2 years of recent anesthesia technician experience
Previous travel assignment experience required
Current BLS certification
Experience supporting operating room and ambulatory surgical procedures
Proficiency with anesthesia machines, equipment checkout, troubleshooting, breathing circuits, airway supplies, laryngoscopes, endotracheal tubes, LMAs, and video laryngoscopy equipment
Knowledge of aseptic technique, sterilization and disinfection, infection prevention, universal protocol, time-out procedures, and operating room safety
Experience preparing IV supplies and pumps, assisting with vascular access equipment, managing rapid infusers, and supporting patient monitoring and transport
Ability to support a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment and adapt to changing department needs
Anesthesia Technician Responsibilities Prepare anesthesia workstations, machines, medication supplies, airway equipment, breathing circuits, and monitoring equipment for surgical cases
Perform anesthesia machine checks and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly
Assist anesthesia providers during routine and critical situations, including airway emergencies and emergency intubations
Set up and manage IV pumps, PCA pumps, rapid infusers, transport monitors, and related anesthesia support equipment
Support procedures involving arterial and central venous access, vascular access, regional anesthesia, pain blocks, and specialized surgical services as assigned
Assist with room setup, first-case readiness, room turnover, equipment sterilization, and disinfection
Help position, transport, and safely monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
Handle specimens and documentation in accordance with established surgical and anesthesia protocols
Maintain compliance with radiation safety, laser safety, PPE, electrical safety, fire safety, and infection-control standards
Float between nearby work locations when needed while maintaining high standards of patient care and teamwork
