GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN CTICU - Cardiothoracic Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Chesapeake, Virginia. CTICU - Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Cardio Thoracic ICU Registered Nurse | Chesapeake, VA | Contract Quick Look Weekly Gross Pay: $2,664 - $2,804 Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Join a leading acute-care hospital in the beautiful Coastal Virginia region, just minutes from Virginia Beach and Norfolk. Chesapeake is an outdoor lover's paradise, offering hiking trails for all experience levels and more than 20 waterways to explore. Cardio Thoracic ICU RN needed for a 13-week contract with possible extension. Schedule includes 3x12s or 4x12s, with every other weekend, floating, and holidays required. Please note that block scheduling cannot be accommodated, and candidates must work Christmas. travel experience preferred. Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission; Must be proficient in Epic; Arterial line management Blood Product Administration Central line care/management PICC line management Starting IVs Continuous IV sedation Procedural Sedation Administration Titrate Cardiac drips Titrate Vasoactive drips Strong neuro experience required (post brain surgery, EVD exp/ventriculostomy) FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring Interpretation of dysrhythmias Management of dysrhythmias Multi-system organ failure CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft) Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Impella Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from the OR) Post Cardiac Surgery (not directly from the OR) Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring IV insulin protocols CVVHD/CRRT CVA/Acute Stroke management Assist with management of BiPAP, CPAP Care of Ventilated Patient High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) Interpretation of ABGs Suctioning (ETT, NT) Ventilator Management Infection Prevention Isolation Precautions/Use of PPE Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac Required Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only) ACLS (American Heart Association only) NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Compliance Requirements: The facility will not consider candidates with any license or background hits.
