Job DescriptionPosition Summary Shift: 3pm-11:30pm Sunday-ThursdayTo effectively handle communications and codes through the switchboard and to relay calls and messages to the proper person or department using a pleasant, clear phone voice and proper etiquette skills so that customers perceive excellent, competent service.ResponsibilitiesOperates the PBX answering incoming and in-house call requests.Responds to all emergency codes quickly and calmly with appropriate overhead paging.Contacts patients for an address update as indicated by Supervisor.Reviews updates in the communication book and initial memos.Inventories contents of safe at the beginning of each shift in the presence of a security guard.Assigns loaner beepers and programs new beepers.Ensures courteous and professional dialog with all customers.Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assignedQualificationsMinimum Requirements Special Skills: Must be able to react quickly and calmly to emergency situations and work without direct supervision.Must possess good interpersonal skills.Must exude excellent communication skills including proper phone etiquette.Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED.Experience: On the job training.Preferred Requirements Experience: Previous switchboard or telephone experience.About UsAbrazo Community Health Network Hospital is committed to providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
