Travel Radiation Therapist Job - Hospital Radiation Oncology in Kansas City, Missouri
Travel Radiation Therapist opportunity in Kansas City, MO: join a high-performing Hospital Radiation Oncology team providing advanced, patient-centered care with leading-edge technology and a weekday schedule.
Job Overview
Employment Type: Travel Radiation Therapist
Setting: Hospital Radiation Oncology
Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Schedule: Monday through Friday, days
Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
Hours Per Week: 40
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,810 - $1,940
Assignment Length: 12 weeks
Start Date: October 12, 2026
End Date: January 4, 2027
Work Environment: High-performing oncology unit with advanced radiation therapy technology
Radiation Therapist Job Requirements Minimum of 4 years of Radiation Therapist experience in a radiation oncology or hospital setting
ARRT certification required
Current BLS certification required
Experience with TrueBeam strongly preferred
Experience with OSMS preferred
Familiarity with OBI-KV, MV, and CBCT imaging preferred
Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative oncology care team
Experience with radiation oncology documentation systems preferred
Responsibilities Deliver accurate radiation therapy treatments according to physician orders and treatment plans
Support advanced treatment techniques including VMAT, 3D treatments, SRS, and SBRT
Assist with emergency radiation treatments such as SVC syndrome, heterotopic bone, whole brain treatment, and spinal cord compression
Operate advanced treatment equipment, including TrueBeam and iX systems
Use imaging and documentation platforms to ensure safe, precise, and timely patient care
Collaborate with oncology RNs, radiation oncologists, and fellow RTTs to maintain a smooth daily workflow
Provide compassionate patient care and clear communication throughout the treatment process
