Registered Respiratory Therapist Travel Job in Ashtabula, Ohio - Hospital Assignment

Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,670 - $1,790
Orientation: 20 hours
Job Requirements Current RRT or CRT credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Active Ohio Respiratory Care Professional Board licensure or compact license in hand at time of submission
Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association
Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent specialty experience preferred
Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment
Responsibilities Assess patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of respiratory treatments
Develop and implement plans of care based on patient diagnosis, condition, and treatment goals
Monitor, document, and communicate patient status accurately and promptly
Perform advanced respiratory care modalities as needed in an acute care setting
Evaluate respiratory therapy interventions and medication administration based on patient outcomes
Educate patients and families about illness management and available community resources
Respond appropriately in stressful situations and take decisive action when needed
Complete additional duties as assigned to support excellent patient care and team collaboration
