Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Level III NICU in Boston, MA
Join a specialized neonatal respiratory care team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) providing critical respiratory care to newborns in a Level III NICU. Respiratory Therapist Job Details
Location: Boston, Massachusetts 02115
Healthcare Setting: Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030-$2,190
Schedule: 3 shifts per week
Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts based on staffing needs
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Additional Scheduling: A 48-hour week, consisting of four 12-hour shifts, may be considered based on staffing needs
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Work Arrangement: On-site

Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements At least 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute-care setting
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is mandatory
Active Massachusetts RCP or RRT license
Level III NICU or neonatal respiratory care experience preferred
Strong knowledge of neonatal respiratory assessment, respiratory therapy, and treatment practices
Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and meet the assignment's on-site scheduling requirements
Current professional credentials and license verification required
Neonatal Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities Provide respiratory therapy and specialized respiratory care to newborns and critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU
Assess neonatal respiratory status and develop appropriate care interventions in collaboration with the clinical team
Manage and monitor neonatal respiratory support equipment, ventilation, and related therapies
Assist with emergency respiratory interventions and procedures as needed
Communicate patient status, treatment response, and care recommendations to nurses, providers, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team
Document respiratory assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
Promote safe, compassionate, and evidence-based respiratory care for patients and their families
