Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Travel Job - Hospital in Front Royal, Virginia
Join an experienced respiratory care team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Front Royal, Virginia. This 13-week travel respiratory therapist assignment offers the opportunity to provide meaningful pulmonary care to emergency, critical care, and general hospital patients in a community hospital setting. Work alongside advanced clinical teams while using Epic electronic medical record systems. Front Royal is a scenic Shenandoah Valley community known for its welcoming small-town atmosphere, historic charm, and convenient access to outdoor recreation in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details
Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,520-$1,640
Assignment Type: 13-week travel respiratory therapy contract
Location: Front Royal, Virginia
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 3 shifts per week
Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-Call: None
Healthcare Setting: Hospital respiratory therapy department with emergency and critical care coverage
Documentation: Epic electronic medical record experience required
Dress Code: Hunter green scrubs
Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements At least 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
Prior experience in emergency and critical care settings
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or qualifying Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
Valid Virginia respiratory therapy license
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records is required
Strong patient assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities Assess patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
Provide respiratory therapy interventions across emergency, critical care, and general hospital units
Monitor patient responses to therapy and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary care team
Support patients with acute and chronic pulmonary disease management
Provide pulmonary-related education to patients, families, and caregivers
Document assessments, treatments, and patient outcomes accurately in Epic
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical professionals to promote safe, high-quality patient care
Follow hospital policies, respiratory care standards, and applicable safety practices
