About This Role
The Hospital Senior Director of Nursing, Medicine at NYU Langone Health provides clinical leadership and management of designated care areas, ensuring excellence in patient care and staff engagement. What You'll Do
Foster a culture embedded in NYU's tripartite mission: to serve, to teach, and to discover.
Design, implement, and evaluate programs for multiple nursing units or departments.
Collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure excellence in quality, patient experience, and efficiency.
Oversee the development and implementation of interdisciplinary outcome standards.
Foster positive and productive work environments founded on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Conduct interviews, hire, develop, and evaluate departmental leadership.
Evaluate the performance of personnel in a fair and transparent manner.
Establish a financial plan and utilize data to make strategic decisions.
Coordinate care delivery using labor productivity data to plan and evaluate staffing patterns.
Hold self and others accountable for the delivery of exemplary care in a cost-efficient manner.
Requirements
Education: Doctoral degree (PhD or DNP) in clinical nursing practice or research required
Experience: Minimum 5 years Leadership or supervisory experience required
Licenses & Certifications: Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in New York State required, Certification in nursing leadership required
