Job Summary
We are seeking a Chief Hospitalist to lead our team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Description
Specialization: Internal Medicine
Qualified Candidates
3+ years hospitalist practice experience
Progressive leadership experience
Comfortable with a mix of clinical hospitalist shifts and leadership duties
Experience as Hospitalist Chief or Associate Chief (a plus)
Experience teaching/working with internal medicine residents (a plus)
Must have excellent clinical and communication skills
Board certified in internal medicine

12 hour physician shifts
18‑20 patient visits/day for each hospitalist
Dedicated nocturnists
Closed ICU
No procedures required

Level II Trauma Center
24/7 full‑service ER with 2 freestanding ERs
24/7 dedicated inpatient intensivist program
Internal medicine, family medicine, and psychiatry GME residency programs with Tufts University affiliation
30‑bed inpatient behavioral health unit
