Hospitalist - Daytime Rounder
West Jefferson Medical Center, Marrero, LA

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive examinations and evaluations and make treatment decisions.
Admit patients to the hospital for primary care physicians on need basis.
Provide primary and consultative medical care to patients admitted to various units of the hospital with appropriate subspecialty consultation.
Coordinate care of patients through appropriate collaboration with other physicians, nursing staff, case managers and ancillary service providers.
Keep patients informed and give periodic updates as appropriate.
Participate in hospital’s utilization management, risk management and performance improvement programs.
Experience Qualifications
2 years of practice as a Hospitalist preferred.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study required.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required.
Licenses and Certifications
Current license issued by LA State Board of Medical Examiners.
