Job description
Overview
Great opportunity for a Hospitalist NP/PA to join a well‑respected healthcare facility in Northeastern CT about 1hr from Hartford, CT, 45 mins from Providence, RI and 30 mins to Worcester, MA.
Responsibilities
Full‑time, approximately 40 hours a week (5 × 8‑hour shifts per week)
Shift schedule: 8‑hour day shifts (7a.m.–3p.m. or 12p.m.–8p.m.), with both day and evening shifts
No block scheduling; approximately 20–21 shifts per month
At least one weekend per month (days off during the week when a weekend shift is worked)
Typically see ~12 patients per 8‑hour shift, mix of rounding and admissions
See patients ages 16 and older
Open ICU – Hospitalist admits patients to the ICU
No procedures required
Attend codes and rapid response on the floor, but not the ED
Qualifications
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Minimum 2–3 years of Hospitalist NP/PA experience
Compensation
