Job description
Carlsbad Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our hospitalist team in a hospital-employed role. This position offers flexibility in scheduling, strong physician collaboration, and the opportunity to provide high-quality inpatient care in a supportive community hospital setting. At Carlsbad Medical Center, you ll be part of Community Health Systems , a national network of regional hospitals with a shared mission to deliver high-quality care where it s needed most close to home. Position Highlights Hospital-employed position
Preferred schedule: 7-on / 7-off (flexible scheduling available)
Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)
Full-time eligibility includes enhanced benefits package
Collaborative hospitalist team environment
Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current New Mexico NP or PA license (or eligibility for licensure)
Strong clinical and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a hospital-based team environment
Prior inpatient experience preferred but not required (based on role expectations)
