Job description
Ellis Medicine is seeking a Per Diem Hospital Medicine Advanced Practitioner to join our collaborative Hospital Medicine team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced APP or new graduate seeking flexible clinical work within a well-supported Hospital Medicine program.
nOur APPs play an integral role in the care of hospitalized patients, working collaboratively with physicians while managing a dedicated patient census. With strong physician support, broad specialty availability, a closed ICU and no required procedures, our APPs can focus on providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

n nClinical Responsibilities
nPer diem Hospital Medicine APPs will:
nnnProvide comprehensive inpatient care in collaboration with Hospital Medicine physicians
n
nnEvaluate and manage hospitalized patients
n
nnPerform daily rounds and develop individualized treatment plans
n
nnComplete admission and discharge evaluations as assigned
n
nnCoordinate care with physicians, nursing staff and consulting specialists
n
nnCommunicate treatment plans and clinical updates with patients and families
n
nnParticipate in multidisciplinary care planning
n
nnCoordinate transitions of care and follow-up needs
n
nnProvide evidence-based, patient-centered care
n
n nQualifications
nnnCurrent NP or PA certification
n
nnLicensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State
n
nnHospital medicine or inpatient experience preferred but not required
n
nnStrong clinical judgment and communication skills
n
nnAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
n
nnCommitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
n
n nCompensation
nnn$71.50/hour
n
nnOpportunity to pick up additional shifts based on departmental needs and availability
