Ellis Medicine is seeking per diem Hospitalists to join our collaborative Hospital Medicine team. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians seeking flexible supplemental clinical work, a per diem practice option, or the ability to maintain flexibility while working within a well-supported hospital medicine program.

nOur Hospital Medicine model provides physicians with strong APP support, broad specialty resources, a closed ICU and no required procedures.

nn12-hour shifts: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.; 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

nnWell-established Hospital Medicine program

n

nnStrong APP and physician support

nnClosed ICU

nnStrong specialty support and hospital leadership

n

nnNo procedures required

n

n nClinical Responsibilities

nPer diem Hospitalists will provide comprehensive inpatient medical care, including:

nnnEvaluation and management of hospitalized adult patients

n

nnDaily rounding and development of individualized treatment plans

n

nnCoordination of care with nursing, APPs, consultants, patients and families

n

nnAdmission and discharge management

n

nnResponding to Rapid Response events as assigned

n

nnParticipation in multidisciplinary care planning

n

nnAppropriate consultation and coordination with specialty services

n

nnProviding high-quality, evidence-based inpatient care

n

n nNo procedural responsibilities are required, allowing physicians to focus on diagnosis, treatment, care coordination and patient outcomes.

nQualifications

nnnBoard certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

n

nnLicensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State

n

nnStrong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills

n

nnCommitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

n

nnNew graduates are encouraged to apply

nnnDay shifts: $175/hour

n

nnNight shifts: $185/hour
