Local Team Collaboration:
Become part of a cohesive and long-standing team of 31 physicians and 4 APPs with the support of a clinical performance nurse at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital.
Our group participates in several hospitalist committees and QI projects.
Cleveland Clinic Akron General is a 532-bed regional medical center. The hospital has the prestigious "Magnet" status. Cleveland Clinic Akron General is recognized regionally and within Ohio for its expertise and care.
Qualifications:
Board-certified/board-eligible in internal medicine.
We proudly sponsor H1B & J1 visa candidates and provide in-house visa specialists, licensing, and credentialing support. All required filing fees for the visa are covered by Sound.
Scheduling:
This role is primarily day coverage and will provide swing-shift coverage.
We have 11 physicians and one APP working daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. 1 physician works a swing shift daily from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM. We have two physicians and one APP working nightly from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
We have a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation. Our hospitalists work approximately 4 weeks of swings annually.
Key Responsibilities:
We welcome the challenge of complex cases. The ICU is closed, and no procedures or codes are required. Our team responds to codes on their patients.
For those who like to teach, we work with IM and FM residents from the Cleveland Clinic Akron General residency program.
