APP - Hospitalist Opening in Iowa Location: Fort Madison, IA - Burlington 15m •Full-time APP - Hospitalist opportunity in Fort Madison, IA•Join an established Hospitalist team in a supportive, collaborative environment•High degree of autonomy in practice with support from an onsite Internal Medicine physician•7-on/7-off schedule with 168 shifts per year, providing two additional weeks off annually•Responsibilities include admissions, discharges, and rounding•Collaborate closely with nursing, social work, the Emergency Department, and other specialties•Strong team atmosphere with an emphasis on teamwork and camaraderie•Supportive administration with an open-door approach that values physician and APP input•Opportunity to provide high-quality care in a community-focused settingCompensation & Benefits•$154,000+ annual compensation•$15,000 commencement bonus•168 shifts per year compared with the typical 182-shift schedule•Two additional weeks off per year•Full benefits package•Malpractice coverage•Fair rotation of shift coverage•Team-based compensation modelPractice & Clinical Support•380-bed independent and financially stable health system•One physician and one APP typically cover an average of 25-30 patients•24/7 board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians provide ER coverage•No ICU coverage required•Procedures are optional•Emergency Department located nearby for easy access to admissions•Most specialties available for consultation and support•Diverse pathology in a community setting with limited local competitionCommunity & Lifestyle•Family-friendly community with excellent public and private schools•Riverfront community with 11 parks, a water park, and waterfront recreation•Access to golf, tennis, swimming, and fitness facilities•Housing options ranging from gated communities and golf-course living to spacious acreage•Variety of local and national dining and retail options•Approximately one hour from Iowa City•Direct daily flights available to St. Louis and Chicago•Amtrak service to Chicago•Cost of living approximately 22% below the national average•Opportunity to enjoy a stable career while maintaining a strong work-life balance
