Brattleboro, Vermont - Hospitalist Physician Status: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)Hours: 07:00 - 19:00Call/Weekend/Holiday: RotatingFLSA Status: ExemptPosition Summary: Provide comprehensive inpatient care for hospitalized patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and coordination with specialists, nurses, and support staff. The role emphasizes patient-centered, evidence-based care in a rural community hospitalKey Responsibilities: Direct patient care: admissions, daily rounds, and dischargesEvaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditionsCoordinate care with specialists, primary care, and ancillary servicesOrder and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic testsRespond to emergencies, run codes, provide ventilator managementDocument care in EMRParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital committeesPatient/family education and guidance Requirements / Qualifications: Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school Experience: 2-3 years hospitalist experience preferredRural health experience preferred but not requiredVentilator management requiredCode team experience required Licensure / Certifications: Active, unrestricted Vermont medical licenseValid Vermont DEA licenseBLS and ACLS certification Board Certification / Eligibility: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Compensation: $300,000 - $350,000 annually (final compensation based on experience, education, and market competitiveness) Allow RecruitWell to connect you with the client to discuss this opportunity in detail.
