Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Practice Setting: Inpatient Hospital Medicine No Procedures Required

Practice Highlights Provide comprehensive inpatient care including admissions, daily rounding, and discharges
Manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions
Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care
Order, interpret, and act on laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies
Provide ventilator management
Respond to codes and rapid response situations
Coordinate care plans and ensure smooth transitions of care
Collaborate with: Specialists and surgeons
Primary care providers
Emergency Medicine physicians
Nurses and respiratory therapists
CRNAs
Ancillary services
Specialty backup available, including surgeons for central line procedures
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital committees
Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment, and follow-up
Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation

Requirements MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Active Vermont medical license
DEA required prior to start
BLS and ACLS certification
Demonstrated ventilator management experience
Experience running codes
2 3 years of Hospitalist experience highly preferred
Rural health experience highly preferred
Clean malpractice history
NPDB Self-Query Report pulled within 30 days
