Job description

Transform patient care and the community as a Hospital Medicine Physician in Fort Worth, Texas.

Our mission in Fort Worth is to provide “better” in every sense—better healthcare, better teamwork, and a lasting impact on the community we proudly serve. Ready to grow your career in a place that values community and collaboration? Let’s talk.

Local Team Collaboration

We take pride in our well-established team at John Peter Smith of 37 physicians and five advanced practice providers (APPs), with the support of a clinical performance nurse and a practice manager.

Work alongside a diverse group of professionals with backgrounds from all over the world. We are an integral part of our hospital community and a valued strategic partner, maintaining great relationships with hospital leadership and other physician groups.

Our team actively participates in committees and leadership roles to support quality and process improvement.

Outside of work, we come together for social events to celebrate special occasions and share common interests like food and sports.

Qualifications

Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine.

We are open to 2026 graduates.

We proudly sponsor H1B visa candidates and provide in‑house visa specialists, licensing, and credentialing support. All required filing fees for the visa are covered by Sound.

Scheduling

Full‑time positions follow a 7‑days‑on, 7‑days‑off rotation.

We understand the importance of spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors. That’s why we offer a flexible schedule that allows for work‑life balance. Our team covers for each other when anyone is out, ensuring that you can enjoy time off without worry.

Key Responsibilities

Focus on managing complex cases in a closed ICU environment with 24/7 intensivist coverage, without the expectation of performing procedures or running codes.

Participate in regular team meetings, held two to three times per week, discuss critical items, and engage in monthly regional meetings to review performance and address outstanding practice matters.

EMR is EPIC.
