Job description
Med Ninjas is seeking a Hospitalist Physician for short term locum tenens coverage at an inpatient facility located in Flagstaff, Arizona.
The Physician must be available for the complete coverage block from 10/26/2026 to 11/13/2026.
This assignment includes inpatient hospital coverage, hospital admissions, cross-coverage of admitted patients, a closed ICU with intensivist coverage, and scheduled shifts with on-call coverage.

Shift: 6:00 AM–6:00 PM; additional swing and night coverage as needed

Position Details:
Patient Population: All ages
Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Responsibilities: Hospital admissions, cross-covering hospitalized patients, and managing inpatient care outside of the ICU
Required Procedures: Hospital admissions and inpatient cross-coverage
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: Intensivist coverage for closed ICU
Days Per Month: Varies; coverage need is approximately 20–30 patients/day across the collective service
On-Call/Weekends: Scheduled + on-call coverage required; night coverage includes two physicians from 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
Required Procedures and Skills
Hospital admissions
Inpatient cross-coverage
General hospitalist medicine
Management of adult and pediatric inpatient patients
Ability to work within a closed ICU model
Requirements
BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Active Arizona license or IMLC LOQ in hand
DEA required
ACL S certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience
