204 licensed-bed hospital
Day shift: 1 Hospitalist Physician, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Night shift: 1 NP/PA, 7 p.m.-7 a.m.
Average 13-16 patients per day, including admissions
1-3 daytime admissions on average
Approximately 2 admissions overnight
Open ICU with 6 beds
Hospitalists respond to rapid responses and codes
Collegial work environment with the Emergency Department managed by SCP Health
EMR: Meditech Expanse
Qualifications
Licensure: Virginia License and DEA
Board Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Skills & Procedures: Vent management required. Intubations preferred.
Certifications: ACLS

LewisGale Hospital Alleghany serves patients in both Virginia and West Virginia. The hospital offers a full range of medical specialties from emergency medicine to general surgery. It is also home to the Senior Transitions program, a 15-bed specialty unit for seniors with emotional and behavioral issues requiring short-term acute stabilization.
