Job description
Merit Health Natchez is seeking a Hospitalist Physician to join our inpatient medicine team in either a full-time or PRN capacity. This opportunity includes a clear leadership track with potential progression toward Medical Directorship, offering both clinical practice and professional growth within a supportive hospital environment. At Merit Health Natchez, you ll be part of Community Health Systems , a national network of regional hospitals with a shared mission to deliver high-quality care where it s needed most close to home! Position Highlights Compensation: $160/hour (approximately $26,880+ per block)
Schedule: 7-on / 7-off
Shift Type: 100% daytime shifts
Volume: 168 hours/month
Leadership track opportunity toward Medical Director role
Flexible FT or PRN structure
Open ICU
Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
Comfortable doing procedures
Current Mississippi medical license or eligibility for licensure
Strong clinical and communication skills
Interest in leadership development preferred
Ability to work effectively in a structured inpatient environment
