nWe are hiring for a nocturnist position. A n octurnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.
nLocal Team Collaboration:
nnnBecome part of a cohesive and long-standing team of 26 physicians with the support of a clinical performance nurse at St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
n
nnOur team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who rely on and learn from one another in their approach to patient care.
n
nnWe gather frequently for lunch and monthly for team meetings.
n
nnWe proudly sponsor H-1B candidates, and Sound has excellent in-house visa specialists as well as licensing and credentialing experts. We can now consider 2027 J1 candidates for this site - HHS and Conrad 30.

n nQualifications:
nnnMedical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
n
nnIM or FM board certification or eligibility, with the expectation of obtaining certification.
n
nnActive medical license or eligible to become licensed in California.
n
nnWe welcome interest from physicians coming out of training or physicians with experience desiring a career change.
n
nnAuthorized to work in the United States.
n
n nScheduling:
nnnThis is a nocturnist schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM.
n
nnFlexible block schedule.
n
n nKey Responsibilities:
nnnWe work in a closed ICU setting with 24/7 intensivist coverage. Our team is not required to do procedures.
n
nnWe encourage our team to participate in hospital committees and the community.
n
nnFor those who like to teach, we work with Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residents.

nnnThe expected annual compensation for this role is $400K+.
