Job Opportunity: Locum Nocturnist Physician in Petoskey, MI Join a top-tier health system in Petoskey, MI, as an experienced Nocturnist. This facility offers high-quality healthcare in a friendly, supportive environment. We are seeking a dedicated physician to provide night coverage starting December, on a 7 days on/ 7 days off schedule.
Job Responsibilities: Provide hospital call coverage during 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Manage approximately 16 inpatient cases daily.
Round on patients and provide intermittent staffing support, including occasional code coverage.
Collaborate with APPs for patient admissions.
Utilize Cerner EHR for patient documentation and management.
Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
Qualifications: Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Experience in adult inpatient care without ICU/CCU responsibilities.
Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
License and Certification Requirements: Current Michigan medical license in hand.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
DEA verification at name clear.
Clean background check for quick privileging.
