Facility:
This is a well-established 269-bed community hospital offering comprehensive women's health services in southern Colorado. The facility features a robust obstetrics program with approximately 140 deliveries per month, a Level II-B NICU providing care for newborns from 31 weeks' gestation and beyond, and a collaborative team environment supported by experienced CNMs and dedicated OB/GYN back-up coverage on every shift.
Opportunity:
Physician - Hospitalist - OB
Job Details:
Provide comprehensive in-house obstetric care including labor management, deliveries, and obstetric triage
Perform gynecologic consultations, emergent gynecologic surgeries, and management of acute clinical issues
Enjoy a sustainable schedule of 7 to 8 twenty-four-hour shifts per month
Collaborate with a Level II-B NICU team providing care for newborns delivered at 31 weeks' gestation and beyond
Work alongside experienced Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) every shift with dedicated OB/GYN back-up coverage
Utilize a fully integrated Epic electronic medical record platform for seamless coordination of care
Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 0-5 years of residency) in OB/GYN required
Active Colorado medical license required, or willingness to obtain
Clean malpractice history highly preferred
Most recent NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days required at time of presentation
DEA must be obtained prior to start
On-call and weekend availability required
