Locums - Woodland, California, Hospitalist Opening
Clinical Role
Start January 20272 Hospitalists neededHospital-based coverageApproximately 12-16 patients per dayOpen ICUCoverage needed due to staffing vacancies and provider leave Schedule & Coverage
Day shift: 8:00 am-6:00 pmNight shift: 6:00 pm-7:00 amApproximately 6-12 day shifts per monthApproximately 2-4 night shifts per monthOccasional additional coverage may be availableProviders must be willing to work a mix of day and night shifts Practice Model & Clinical Expectations
Admit patients from the Emergency DepartmentConduct daily rounds and complete progress notesManage acute medical conditionsCoordinate care with subspecialistsReview laboratory and imaging resultsMedication reconciliationDischarge planning and follow-up instructionsCommunicate with primary care physiciansConduct family meetings and care conferencesParticipate in multidisciplinary rounds and case managementAdhere to hospital quality and safety protocolsParticipate in process improvement initiatives Support & Systems
Cerner EMR Requirements & Credentialing
Board Certification requiredInternal Medicine or Family Medicine residency requiredActive California license requiredClean malpractice history highly preferred What's great about Woodland, California?
