Job description
Job TitleProvides hospitality service for events and meetings, welcomes visitors, and cleans and maintains organization premises by performing the following duties.Functions of the job:Essential functions:Assist with main lobby hospitality desk duties and visitor engagement as neededSets up public address equipment such as monitors, speakers, mixers, and microphones for all functionsConducts sound checks and runs sound during eventsSets up and assists audio/video presentations using power point etc., interconnecting PCs projectors and screensSets up and assists with video and audio conference call sessionsSets up and assists with theater equipment & troubleshoot for any problemsSets up, services, breaks down and cleans up meetings and eventsServices coffee bars and tracks inventory of supplies to be orderedStocks, inventories, and orders supplies as neededOperate machinery such as pallet jacks, forklifts, single man lift and company vehiclesMaintains assigned coffee stations and/or kitchens serviced and clean throughout the day that includes cleaning all appliances, countertops, sinks, and other items being usedDocuments when items are removed or returned to event inventoryAssists with after-hours functions when requested which may include greeting guests, assisting with set-up and clean-up, removal of dirty dishes or trash, etc.Completes assigned general housekeeping dutiesRun errands and makes deliveries as requestedOther duties as assignedRegular attendanceSupports our BMI Core Values and cultivates a culture of diversity and inclusionPhysical/visual activities or demands:Sitting, talking, hearing, walkingConcentrated mental and visual attention with normal hand-eye coordinationClarity of vision at 20 inches; corrected or uncorrectedFrequent lifting of 5 – 50 lb. itemsEnvironmental/atmospheric conditions:Normal office conditions. At times, noise levels may be high, primarily during events with live music.Position qualification requirements:Education: High school diploma or GEDExperience: Prior hospitality or general housekeeping experience is preferredSkills and abilities:Must be detail oriented and thoroughStrong work ethicAbility to work flexible hours when neededMachines, tools, equipment and work aids:Pallet JackForkliftSingle Man LiftCompany VehiclesLicense(s)/certifications required:Forklift certification is preferred, but not requiredThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying the position.
