The Host/Hostess is the first and last impression of the Tacos & Tequila Cantina experience. This role is responsible for greeting guests with genuine hospitality, managing seating efficiently, answering phones professionally, and helping create a smooth flow throughout the restaurant.
What You'll Do:
Create a Warm Welcome
Greet every guest with a friendly smile and positive attitude.
Make guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive.
Thank guests for visiting and invite them to return for future visits.
Deliver exceptional hospitality that sets the tone for a memorable dining experience.
Manage the Guest Experience
Seat guests efficiently while balancing table rotation and server sections.
Accurately communicate wait times and manage guest expectations.
Maintain awareness of restaurant flow to support seamless operations.
Assist in creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all guests.
Support Restaurant Operations
Answer incoming calls with professionalism, enthusiasm, and excellent phone etiquette.
Accurately manage takeout orders and guest inquiries.
Maintain clean and organized host stand and menu areas.
Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient service.
Be a Brand Ambassador
Represent Tacos & Tequila Cantina with integrity, professionalism, and enthusiasm.
Follow all restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment.
Demonstrate our T.A.C.O. core values in every guest interaction.
Work as Part of a Team
Collaborate closely with all restaurant team members to support daily operations.
Remain open to coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement.
Arrive on time and prepared for every shift.
Assist with additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
