Forging TechnicianATI is a global manufacturer of technically advanced specialty materials and complex components. Our Irvine, CA, location plays a vital role in our Forged Products division by producing jet engine components for aerospace customers.We are currently seeking a forging technician at our Irvine, CA location. This role assists press operators by performing a variety of tasks supporting the forging process of high-performance materials used in jet engine components for the aerospace industry.A successful forging technician works collaboratively with the team, possess a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to accurately execute written work instructions.Position responsibilities include:Preparing metal stock for forging, positioning hot metal stock on hot dies, and extracting hot forgings from diesCompleting quality assurance and part tracking documentationPreparing thermocouple wiringOperating a forklift following safe work practicesOther duties as assigned by supervision.Basic QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentExcellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-taskAbility to perform basic math.Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written instructions.Heavy liftingDedication to safe work practicesPreferred Qualifications (in addition to Basic Qualifications)Previous experience in a related fieldForklift experienceQuality assuranceMechanically inclinedWe will train motivated, entry level candidates.Total RewardsATI has a Total Rewards package to attract and retain top talent.
