Hotel HousepersonCommerce Casino is the world's largest card casino offering more than 200 tables. Commerce Casino offers a comprehensive benefits package to include medical, dental, vision, life, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), vacation time, and much more!The Hotel Houseperson plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our hotel, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for our guests.Primary Job FunctionsAssist with flipping mattresses and moving furniture as assigned by Supervisor.Assist room attendants to maintain high standards of quality.Hang draperies as required.Dusts furniture and equipment.Polishes metalwork and furniture.Collects soiled linens for laundry and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closets.Cleans bathrooms and replenishes with supplies.Refurnishes room with supplies, towels, etc. as required.Supplies own cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift.May deliver television sets, ironing boards, baby cribs, and roll-a-way beds to guest rooms.May clean swimming pool.May remove debris, clean driveways, and garage areas.Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and locker rooms and other work areas.Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.Wash walls, windows, door panels, sills, ceilings, and woodwork.Empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays.Transports trash and waste to disposal area.Required to be always in uniform when working on the property including wearing a name identification badge.Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.All other duties assigned by a manager or supervisor.The duties listed are not set forth for the purpose of limiting the assignment of work. Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs.Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.Ability to understand and follow directions and perform job functions under limited supervision.Flexible availability to work any shift/day, including holidays and weekends.Comfortable with using a radio to communicate with the front desk and housekeeping supervisors.Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, and stand and walk public areas for extended periods of timeCustomer Satisfaction:Our customers are what we are about. Every associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.Scheduled HoursCommerce Casino operates 24 hours, 7 days a week. Schedules may vary depending on business needs.
