Job description
Houseman PositionWe are seeking a dependable and hardworking Houseman to support the housekeeping team at a busy hotel. This position plays an important role in keeping guest areas, hallways, common spaces, and housekeeping operations clean, organized, and fully stocked. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, team-oriented, and willing to assist wherever needed to help maintain a clean and welcoming hotel environment.Responsibilities:Assist housekeeping staff with daily cleaning and room turnover needsDeliver linens, towels, toiletries, and other supplies to guest rooms and housekeeping areasRemove trash, dirty linens, and other materials from guest floorsMaintain cleanliness of hallways, stairwells, elevators, lobbies, and other common areasVacuum, sweep, mop, and clean designated hotel areasRestock housekeeping carts, supply rooms, and linen closetsAssist with moving furniture, mattresses, or other hotel items as neededRespond to guest and housekeeping requests in a professional and timely mannerReport maintenance concerns, damaged items, or safety hazards to managementFollow hotel cleanliness, sanitation, and safety proceduresAssist with additional housekeeping or hotel duties as assignedRequirements:Previous hotel, housekeeping, janitorial, maintenance, or general labor experience is preferred but not requiredMust be dependable and have reliable attendanceAbility to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift throughout the shiftAbility to lift approximately 25–50 pounds as neededComfortable working in a fast-paced hotel environmentStrong work ethic and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProfessional attitude when interacting with guests and coworkersAbility to work weekends and holidays when scheduledMust be able to follow instructions and complete tasks efficientlyBenefits:Opportunity for growth and advancementPotential for increased pay based on performance and experienceOpportunity to gain experience within the hotel and hospitality industryOn-the-job trainingSupportive team environmentConsistent work opportunitiesOpportunity to learn additional housekeeping and hotel operations responsibilities
