Warwick Hotel San Francisco Part-Time Maintenance Technician

Warwick Hotel San Francisco is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Technician that will help finish all quarterly Preventative Maintenance (PM's) for all major equipment, ice machines, stoves, Air Conditioners (AC), and flooring. In addition, you will be required to repairs walls, paint, furniture touch-ups, and basic plumbing and electrical jobs. All issues must be handled with urgency and with the guests/employee's safety in mind.
This position is a part-time temporary position, covering a tech who is out on medical leave for the next 3 months. There may be a chance this may turn into a Full Time Permanent position in the future depending on hotel needs. If you are open to working in other areas of the hotel, including in a Janitorial capacity, there may be further opportunities for you to get more hours. As a hotel, your hours rely on how many rooms we have sold on a weekly basis and you will be scheduled as such, however you are guaranteed to work an average of 24 hours per week.
In DECEMBER, you will be required to work 40 hours per week to cover for another tech leaving on vacation for the month. You will be required to work weekends and off during the week.

Hours: 8am - 4:30pm
Days: Tuesday - Thursday (24 hours)
Salary: $27-29/hr DOE
December's Hours: 5 Days a week. Off Tuesday/Wednesdays. You may be required to work 6 days, with OT pay.
Skills we are seeking.
1) Must be good at using hand and power tools.
2) Troubleshoot equipment failures and be able to use online resources for help.
3) Must know how to patch a hole the correct way for any wall surface.
4) Painting - Preparing, sanding, cleaning, and using the correct painting methods.
5) Be able to change a toilet and repair any drain.
6) Be able to change a shower valve, toilet valves, faucets, and shower heads.
7) Basic electrical knowledge. Changing an outlet, bulbs, ballasts, and some soldering is super helpful, not required.
8) The ability to use a computer for emails, placing an order as needed, and to be used as a tool for research.
9) Be able to walk around a lot, lift up to 40lbs as needed, be able to climb stairs with no issues, bend, twist, etc...
10) Be able to clean after yourself with every job using cleaning chemicals, rags, vacuums, etc...
11) Basic floor maintenance. - Grout, tiles, and washing carpet
11) Other duties as assigned by management. (Can be cleaning restrooms, public areas, etc...)
Other things you should know.
1) Background check required.
2) Reliable means of transportation required to get/from work.
3) Weekends will be required when working in December.
4) Can start in the next week is highly preferred!
5) References will be required.
