Hotel Maintenance TechnicianThe Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the hotel's guestrooms, public spaces, building systems, and grounds to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and team members. This position performs preventative maintenance, responds to guest service requests, and assists with ongoing property improvement projects.Successful candidates are self-motivated problem solvers who take pride in maintaining a high-quality guest experience and supporting hotel operations.The Hotel Maintenance Technician role is ideal for someone who:Has experience with general building maintenance, repairs, and troubleshootingEnjoys solving problems and working independentlyTakes pride in maintaining a safe and well-presented propertyCan prioritize multiple projects and respond quickly to maintenance requestsDemonstrates reliability, professionalism, and attention to detailDuties and responsibilities include:Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel, including guestrooms, public areas, mechanical spaces, and exterior groundsTroubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance issuesRespond promptly to guest maintenance requests and service callsConduct routine inspections of building systems and equipment to identify maintenance needsMaintain swimming pool, waterslide, hot tub, and related equipment in accordance with safety standards and operating proceduresAssist with room renovations, deep cleaning projects, and property improvement initiativesMaintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and preventative maintenance recordsPartner with housekeeping and front office teams to ensure guestrooms are maintained and available for saleFollow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirementsAssist with snow removal, grounds maintenance, and seasonal property needs as requiredPerform other duties as assignedPosition requirements include:Previous hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or skilled trades experience preferredWorking knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance systemsAbility to safely operate maintenance tools and equipmentAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environmentsAbility to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as neededValid driver's license preferredWhy work for us?Employee housing may be available for eligible team membersCompetitive hourly pay with opportunities for advancementEmployee travel discounts at Hilton and Vista Host propertiesVacation / Sick / Bereavement / Holiday PayHealth, Vision, and Dental InsuranceLife and Short-Term Disability Insurance401(k) Retirement PlanComplimentary Employee Assistance Program (personal and professional support)Opportunities for career growth within the Vista Host portfolio
