Job description
Hotel Maintenance Technician
As a Hotel Maintenance Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the functionality and appearance of the property. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and addressing any guest or facility-related issues promptly.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a relevant field preferred.
Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or similar environment.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and evenings.
Physical ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and climbing.
Work Schedule: This position may require flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the hotel's operational needs
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems.
Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions or guest-reported issues promptly and effectively.
Guest Service: Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, providing courteous and efficient service to ensure guest satisfaction.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, maintain a safe working environment, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and inventory to facilitate tracking and reporting.
Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments and external vendors for specialized repairs or projects, ensuring seamless operations.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Light work – exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 60 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
