Hotel Security GuardThe Hotel Security Guard plays an essential role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our guests, associates, and visitors. This position is responsible for monitoring hotel activity, conducting routine property patrols, responding to security concerns, and protecting hotel assets while consistently demonstrating exceptional hospitality.This position is best suited for someone who: Takes pride in creating a safe and welcoming environment for others. Is highly observant, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying potential safety concerns. Remains calm, professional, and confident when handling difficult or unexpected situations. Understands the importance of balancing security responsibilities with outstanding guest service. Demonstrates sound judgment, integrity, and discretion. Enjoys working independently while contributing to a collaborative hotel team. Communicates effectively and approaches conflict with patience and professionalism. We are committed to providing a supportive workplace where team members can grow professionally and make a meaningful impact.Duties and responsibilities include:Property Safety & SecurityGuest Safety & HospitalityIncident Response & Emergency ProceduresIncident Reporting & DocumentationAsset Protection & Loss PreventionTeamwork & Operational SupportMinimum requirements include:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Ability to communicate effectively with guests, associates, and management.Strong observational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful or emergency situations.Ability to prepare accurate written incident reports.Basic computer skills and willingness to learn hotel security systems.Ability to work independently with limited supervision.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform routine patrols throughout the property.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Ability to meet applicable state and local security licensing or registration requirements.Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.Preferred qualifications include:Previous experience in hotel security, private security, hospitality, law enforcement, military service, or a related field.Experience handling guest disturbances and resolving conflicts.Familiarity with surveillance systems, access control, and emergency response procedures.CPR, First Aid, or AED certification.Experience preparing incident reports and maintaining security logs.Knowledge of hospitality operations and guest service standards.Vista Host is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
