Hourly Paid Shift Leader for Metal Forming ManufacturerThe Material Handling Division of Nashville Wire Products, an established metal forming manufacturer in the material handling industry, is accepting resumes for an hourly paid shift leader position in the production area at our Frankfort, Kentucky location. Positions work Monday - Friday 6:00 am until 5:00 pm most weeks with occasional additional overtime as required to meet customer demands. This is an hourly paid overtime eligible position reporting directly to the Plant Manager.Pay progression: $27.00 start rate, $ day rate, $29.00 1 year rate. We are also currently offering a double time for all overtime hours worked incentive.Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance availability first of month after 30 days of service, paid vacation after 6 months of service, paid sick time after 90 days of service, 401k with 100% match following 1 year of service, 9 paid holidays, employer paid short and long term disability, and we are currently offering a double time for all overtime hours worked incentive.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Coordinating workflow for a work area of approximately 10 employees to ensure production schedules are met in a timely and cost effective mannerEnforcing quality procedures to ensure quality requirements are metMonitoring and improving work center productivity levelsParticipating in continuous improvement activities to reduce operating cost & increase productivityEnforcing company policies & administrating disciplinary actions as warrantedImplementing and sustaining a manufacturing environment committed to world class housekeepingJob Requirements: Applicants must have a steady work history with a minimum of 3+ years recent supervisory experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment including experience in lean manufacturing and 5S programs. Must have a high sense of urgency in a fast pace environment. Prior finishing line experience with dip paint or powder coating and wash systems preferred.
