Our home is filled with laughter, activity, and the joyful energy that comes with raising a young child, while also sharing our space with our parents as they temporarily live with us. It's a lively household with plenty of moving pieces, but we genuinely love having a home that's full of life. More than anything, we're intentional about creating a space that feels welcoming, organized, and thoughtfully cared for—a place where everyone can relax and enjoy being together.Like many busy families, our days are often pulled in different directions, and we've reached a point where we recognize we need dedicated support managing the household itself. We're not simply looking for someone to help with tasks—we're hoping to find a proactive household partner who genuinely enjoys creating order behind the scenes. Someone who notices what's needed, takes initiative, and helps keep our home running smoothly without needing constant direction.Whether it's staying ahead of laundry, organizing growing toddler clothes, keeping household supplies stocked, preparing dinner, or making sure the little details don't fall through the cracks, we're looking for someone who finds satisfaction in taking ownership of the work that makes everyday family life easier. Our home is relaxed, welcoming, and down-to-earth. We value reliability, kindness, initiative, and people who naturally follow through on what they say they'll do. If you love children and dogs, enjoy creating calm through organization, and take genuine pride in helping a household run smoothly, we think you'll feel right at home here. Our hope is to build a long-term relationship with someone who becomes a trusted, dependable part of our family's support system for years to come.Who You Are / What We're Looking ForThe right person for this role is someone who genuinely enjoys creating order, bringing calm to busy households, and taking pride in the work that often goes unseen. You're proactive by nature, noticing what needs attention without waiting to be asked and finding satisfaction in completing tasks thoroughly rather than simply checking them off a list. You don't just help maintain a home—you help it function better. You naturally take ownership of your responsibilities and enjoy building routines and systems that make everyday life easier. Whether it's staying ahead of laundry, keeping household supplies stocked, organizing growing toddler clothes, preparing dinner, or making sure the small details don't slip through the cracks, you're someone who consistently thinks a step ahead. You understand that it's often the little things, done well and consistently, that make the biggest difference to a family's daily life.Just as importantly, you're someone who brings a warm, steady presence into the home. You're kind, approachable, and easy to communicate with while maintaining healthy professional boundaries. You understand how to blend into the rhythm of a household—jumping in where needed, respecting family time, and quietly helping everything run more smoothly behind the scenes. You're comfortable in a lively environment, enjoy being around children and dogs, and aren't fazed by the natural ebb and flow of a busy family home.Key ResponsibilitiesHousehold Organization & MaintenanceCreate and maintain household organization systems throughout the homePerform daily resets and prepare the home in advance of biweekly house cleaner visitsLight tidying including dishes, surface wipe-downs, and vacuuming high-traffic areasSeasonal swaps, including sorting toddler items as they are outgrown and coordinating donation drop-offsSpecial event, holiday, and guest prepMaintain and clean air purifiers as part of regular upkeepManage outdoor patio spaces: sweeping, blowing off debris, and maintaining patio furnitureLaundry & LinensFull-service laundry for the entire household: wash, fold, and organizeWeekly linen and towel rotationMaintain a tidy and well-stocked laundry areaMeal SupportManage and stay current with the family's Home Chef meal kit subscription, including weekly meal selectionPrepare Home Chef delivered meals three times per weekPrep healthy snacksSupport the family's low-carb, keto dietary approach when prepping meals and snacksGeneral kitchen cleanup and day-to-day maintenanceInventory & ErrandsKeep fridge, pantry, and household supplies consistently stockedManage household subscriptions and orders (Home Chef, Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)Handle returns, gift shopping, and dry cleaning as neededMail and package handling, including box breakdownPet CareDaily feeding, regular walking, and weekly bathing for two large dogsSchedule and transport dogs to grooming and vet appointmentsManage and reorder pet supplies and dog foodNo medication administration requiredVehicle UpkeepTake family vehicle to the car wash weeklySchedule and coordinate routine maintenance appointmentsTrack vehicle registration and insurance renewal datesDeep Cleaning & Special ProjectsOccasional deep cleaning beyond what the house cleaner covers (fridge, oven, baseboards)Organizational projects for the garage, entryway, and children's areasClean and maintain humidifiers and air purifiersFamily SupportProvide backup childcare on evenings and weekendsEvent and appointment coordination for the familyHow to ApplyPlease submit:A short intro letter telling us a little about yourself and why this role is a great fitAn updated resume3 professional references with contact informationPlease note that this role requires a background check. When you apply with Sage Haus, you'll also be added to our candidate community email list so we can share hiring updates, resources, and opportunities.
