Housekeeper 2 - East Central Regional Hospital - AugustaUnder general supervision, performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities.Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:Cleans and straightens assigned areas.Collect, sorts, launders, transports, and distributes linens and uniforms.Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse.Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed.Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition.May mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair.Preferred Qualifications Include:Must have some basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning chemicals, and how to operate some equipment used in cleaning2 years of job related experience, able to lift and/or move 10-20 lbs.Minimum Qualifications:One (1) year of experience in related area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 1 (FES040) or position equivalent.Equal Employment Opportunity EmployerThe State of Georgia does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, or other protected categories in employment or the provision of services.
