HousekeeperThe University of Mount Union is seeking a Housekeeper for an open position within the physical plant department. Looking to fill two open positions that are needed for day shift. One position is Wednesday through Sunday and the other position is Thursday through Tuesday. Weekends are required for the open available positions. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining an overall image within their assigned building that represents a clean and sanitary environment. The Housekeeper is accountable to ensure that all duties and responsibilities assigned by their Supervisor are successfully completed. The Housekeeper reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor.ResponsibilitiesClean and sanitize all rooms within an assigned area or specific building.Maintain an overall neat and clean appearance of all areas.Daily and weekly duties include: dusting; wiping classroom furniture and other surfaces with a sanitizing product; cleaning mirrors and glass; emptying trash and recycling receptacles; vacuum carpeted floors; dust mop and wet mop hard surface floors; and cleaning bathrooms.Perform other duties as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor.QualificationsPrevious housekeeping experience helpful but not required. Must be able to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities including following a written schedule. Good communication skills are necessary along with a positive work attitude. Must be able to perform physical work. Must be available to work any shift, if needed. A valid Ohio driver's license and a successful MVR is required to operate University vehicles.
