Job description
HousekeeperKeeps the casino building and entry ways clean by performing housekeeping/janitorial duties as required.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintains casino cleanliness as directed by supervisor.Maintains equipment.Cleans ash trays, slot bases, removes empty drink containers, and wipe down slot machines.Waxes and buffs floors.Move chairs, vacuums, mops, and sweeps areas of the casino.Empties garbage.Cleans restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and floors. Replenishes supplies where needed.Cleans windows, counters and chairs.Works safely and efficiently, utilizing safe equipment, techniques, and products.Is helpful and friendly with other maintenance associates and customers.Is current on facility disaster plan and acts accordingly.Maintains high and acceptable quality control standards for position responsibilities.Other duties as assigned by management, including any supervisor, manager, or executive.Promotes the following within the department and among all Team Members:Creates an atmosphere of FUN for all casino guests.Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all Team Members, by setting positive examples at all times.Maintains a professional departmental, company and community reputation.Blue Lake Casino & Hotel Requires Team Members, On a Continual Basis:To provide a safe work environment for Team Members, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.To maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.To enforce performance standards, policies and procedures as they relate to the department.To maintain a consistent, regular attendance record.QualificationsAbility to use hand, housekeeping, and power tools. Knowledge in using cleaning solutions and repairing equipment. Experience in general maintenance and ground care preferred. A minimum of 6 months prior experience is preferred but not required. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.High school diploma or GED equivalent.While employed, must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
