Job description
Day Shift Housekeeper - Full TimeResponsibilities:Ensures that the rooms within the facility are cleaned in the proper manner.Follows all established safety procedures and precautions when performing housekeeping services.Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident rooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed.Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures. Ensure that water marks are removed from fixtures.Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways.Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, etc. (NOTE: Ensure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties.)Assists in other housekeeping duties as needed.Assists in the laundry, as needed.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Previous experience in healthcare environmental services preferred.Must be able to positively interact with other staff, residents and families.Benefits:401(k)Dental insuranceDependent health insurance coverageDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible spending accountFree parkingHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insuranceOpportunities for advancementPaid time offPrescription drug insuranceVision insuranceTennessee State Veterans' Home Board is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
