Job description
Environmental Cleaning ServicesProvides environmental cleaning services. Responsible to maintain the facility in a sanitary, neat, attractive and safe condition at all times. Responsible to maintain the floors running heavy cleaning equipment, walls and baseboards in a clean manner including stripping and refinishing, carpet cleaning, and burnishing.ResponsibilitiesSanitizes all surfaces of the facility using a germicidal cleaner.Performs dust mop and mopping all tile floors. Performs burnishing of floors.Performs carpet cleaning and vacuuming.Strips and refinishes floors.Removes infectious and non-infectious waste.Performs project cleaning in designated areas.Cleans walls, doors, and baseboards, picks up trash and delivers linen/laundry.Maintains accurate records including discharges, pager sign-out sheets, cart sign-out sheets, and Kronos corrections.Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsSpecial Skills Knowledge of floor care equipment.Ability to read in English to follow oral and/or written instructions.Ability to prioritize work.Must have good customer service skills.Preferred Requirements Education: High school or equivalent preferred to enable individual to follow oral or written instruction in English.Experience: Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment preferred.About UsCarondelet St. Marys Hospital Hospital is committed to providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
