Housekeeper OpportunityMake a difference every day! We are seeking a compassionate, dependable Full Time/Day, Monday-Friday, Housekeeper for our Memory Care Residences located in Fairport, New York, to help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming home for our residents. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and wants to be part of a mission-driven community—especially one focused on dignity, comfort, and quality of life for older adults, including individuals living with dementia.If you're looking for meaningful work where your efforts truly matter, we'd love to meet you.Hourly Rate: $16.50 - $18.00 $500 sign on/retention bonusWhat You'll DoEnsure a Clean, Safe, and Comfortable EnvironmentPerform daily housekeeping and environmental services in resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areasClean and sanitize floors, carpets, fixtures, furnishings, walls, and windowsComplete terminal cleaning after resident discharges or transfersProperly dispose of trash and infectious waste following safety and infection-control guidelinesSupport Resident Well-BeingParticipate in resident activities and occasionally dine with residents to support community engagementPromote Safety & QualityFollow all infection control, universal precautions, and fire safety policiesIdentify and report hazards, maintenance needs, and incidents promptlyComplete logs, assignment sheets, and quality assurance documentation accuratelyBe a Valued Team MemberCoordinate cleaning activities with other departments to support resident programmingAttend training sessions, staff meetings, and in-service education as requiredMaintain a positive, professional, and customer-service-focused attitudeWhat We're Looking ForRequiredHigh School Diploma or GEDAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishAbility to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a teamMinimum age: 18Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move up to 50 lbsPreferredExperience in housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, or long-term careTraining or experience working with older adults or individuals with dementiaStrong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindsetWorking Conditions & Physical RequirementsActive role involving standing, walking, lifting, and frequent movementExposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and infectious materialsInteraction with residents who may be cognitively impaired or emotionally distressedAbility to assist during emergency situations, including resident evacuationWhy Work With Us?Meaningful work that supports resident dignity and comfortSupportive team environmentOngoing training and professional developmentOpportunity to grow within a mission-driven organizationBenefitsThe Rochester Presbyterian Home in Rochester, NY has been serving elders for nearly 100 years and has been named a Top Workplace by the Democrat & Chronicle.
