HousekeeperArmy Navy Country Club is a prestigious private, member-owned institution with a history dating back to 1924. Spanning 488 acres across two campuses located in Arlington and Fairfax, Virginia. The Club offers employees the opportunity to contribute to essential operations that support a high standard of cleanliness and functionality. As a housekeeper, you will assist with setting up and breaking down event spaces, ensuring common areas are well-maintained, and responding to member requests.ANCC housekeepers are responsible for providing the highest quality housekeeping service to our members and guests, while maintaining the service standards set forth by the housekeeping management team. Work hard to promote the business and best interests of Army Navy Country Club.Specific duties and responsibilities include:Perform daily scheduled cleaning services as assigned by ManagerSurface dustingVacuum, mop and sweepClean windowsBathroom cleaningLaundryIronPerform thorough deep clean of event spaces as requiredReport all maintenance issues to Manager, immediatelyReport all safety and security issues to Manager, immediatelyCommunicate with Manager to ensure all guest/member requests are fulfilledComplete all other tasks as assigned by the Service ManagerKnowledge, skills, and abilities:The employee in this position must possess the knowledge and skills to demonstrate the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. The employee in this position should be dependable, trustworthy, able to work well in a team, and lift up to 40lbs. This position requires the employee to communicate effectively with members and guests to ensure that service is provided to them in a professional and responsive manner, and to communicate with co-workers to ensure that job responsibilities are performed in an efficient, effective and safe manner.The ideal employee will have the skills to multitask and time management skills.Ability to reach, bend, stoop, standMust be high energy, guest service oriented and able to ensure our guests/members are handled with the utmost courtesy and professionalismMust have the ability to effectively communicate with guest/members and co-workersMust be able lift, carry, pull and push 40+ lbs. constantly and frequently. Position also requires standing for a long period of time and frequent bendingEquipment, machinery, chemicals used:Gas powered or electric utility vehicleVacuumIronLinens, tables, chairsWalkie TalkieAll-purpose cleaner, bleach, disinfectant, furniture polish, oven cleaner, glass cleaner and other related general cleaning productsEducation, experience, and training: This employee should have a high school education. Hotel or country club experience preferred.
